Would you like to understand your camera, improve your photographs, and feel more confident behind the lens? A private photography lesson gives you personal instruction based on your experience, equipment, and goals.
Instead of following a preset class, we will focus on the areas where you need the most help. Therefore, every lesson is different and designed specifically for you.
What Can We Cover?
Your private photography lesson may include the following:
- Understanding your camera settings
- Getting out of Auto mode
- Aperture, shutter speed, and ISO
- Exposure and metering
- Focus modes and focus areas
- Composition and creative techniques
- Bird, wildlife, nature, or landscape photography
- Reviewing and improving your images
- Lightroom or other photo-editing techniques
- Learning how to use a new camera or lens
You can choose one main subject or combine several topics during your lesson.
Learn With Your Own Camera
Please bring the camera and lenses you normally use. Learning with your equipment makes it easier to practice after the lesson.
If you do not have the right equipment, please let me know before your session. I may be able to provide a loaner camera or lens.

Your Investment
A private photography lesson is $275 and lasts approximately 1½–2 hours.
This is a one-on-one lesson, so you will receive my complete attention throughout the session. Lessons are available in the Corpus Christi area and are scheduled by appointment.
