Learn Night Photography in Real Outdoor Environments with Hands-On Guidance and Beginner-Friendly Instruction
Photographing the night sky can feel intimidating at first. Darkness, camera settings, focus, exposure—it’s easy to feel unsure about where to begin. That’s exactly why Jeff & Angie Photography’s astrophotography training course is designed to keep things simple, approachable, and hands-on from the very start. These sessions are built for photographers who want real experience photographing stars, night landscapes, and basic astrophotography scenes in outdoor environments—not just learning theory indoors. Through guided instruction and practical field experience, you’ll learn how to confidently work with your camera after dark while enjoying the experience of being under the night sky.
Many of our astrophotography workshops take place during destination photography experiences when conditions allow, including summer night photography classes along North Padre Island, Texas. Whether you’re completely new to night photography or looking to improve your confidence, the goal is to help you feel comfortable creating stronger images in low-light conditions.
Our astrophotography training course focuses on practical night photography learning through real outdoor experience.

Learn at your own pace, build real confidence, and grow your skills with guidance that feels personal and encouraging.
Astrophotography can seem technical at first, so we break everything down into simple steps that are easy to understand and apply in the field.
Instead of only learning in a classroom, photographers actively shoot outdoors under real night sky conditions while receiving guided support.
You’ll learn how shutter speed, ISO, focus, and exposure work together to create cleaner and sharper night images.
From tripod setup to composing night scenes, we provide real-time instruction while you photograph stars and landscapes in the field.
Many photographers feel uncomfortable shooting at night in the beginning. The goal of our astrophotography training course is to help you feel relaxed, capable, and confident working in low-light environments.
Astrophotography is about more than settings—it’s about experiencing the night sky and learning how to create images that feel atmospheric and meaningful.

“I am what I consider to be an “Advanced Beginner”, which means I know JUST enough to really get myself into trouble. I recently had a private photography lesson with Angie, and it was a HUGE help to build my confidence with a new camera. Her patience, understanding of the craft, and generosity with her own expertise it HUGELY appreciated and welcomed! If you’re looking for a few pointers or to freshen up with new equipment, contact Angie!”
