Have you watched the videos, read the books, taken the classes, and still gone out into the field without knowing your camera settings, without knowing why your photographs aren’t what you thought they would be?
You’re not alone. In fact, the fastest way to improve is not buying another camera or watching another video.
It’s a session with an experienced photographer who will review your photographs, answer your questions, and help you understand what to work on next.
Angie Birmingham’s personalized photography mentorship program provides one-on-one guidance customized to your experience, equipment, interests, and goals.
We won’t do a one-size-fits-all course; we’ll focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your photography.
Angie is opening up five more spots in her new monthly mentorship program to ensure that every single photographer gets personal attention.
Members pay a special rate of $125 a month with a three month commitment.
Your $125 founding rate will stay the same as long as you remain continuously enrolled in the mentorship.
Every month you will get:
This is your photo mentorship program. We will address the skills, challenges and subjects that matter most to you.
Your mentorship can be customized to help you with:
You don’t have to be a pro photographer. This mentorship is built to meet you wherever you are in your photography journey.
When you sign up, you will get a short questionnaire about your experience, camera gear, favorite subjects, current challenges, and goals.
Angie will be in touch to schedule your first 60-minute mentorship session. Sessions are available in person in the Corpus Christi area or through Zoom.
Prior to each session, you may email up to 10 photographs for review. These images will help us find out what is working, what could be improved, and what you should focus on next.
We can go through your images, adjust your camera settings, work through editing techniques, talk about composition, or whatever photography challenge you are going through during your session.
After the session you will be given a personal assignment and written action plan to help guide your practice for the month ahead.
More than one conversation is needed for real progress.
This three-month commitment will allow us to:
Through consistent collaboration we can move beyond quick fixes and help you build long-term photography skills and confidence.

“Angie is a fantastic teacher; she is thorough and willing to explain and go in depth as much as you need it. Her extravagant photos reflect what you can learn from her. All the skills and tips I’ve picked up from her have helped me a lot and are really reflected in my old photos compared to my new ones. Book a class with Angie; you won’t be disappointed.”
“Met Angie over the summer for a sunset/night photo workshop. Great experience, learned a lot, so much fun. Angie is so nice and very knowledgeable.
Angie – you do shoot some fantastic images – let’s make another trip sometime.”
I describe myself as an “Advanced Beginner,” meaning I know just enough to create real trouble. A recent private photography session with Angie greatly boosted my confidence with a new camera. Her patience, grasp of the craft, and willingness to share expertise are deeply appreciated. If you want a few pointers or a refresh with new equipment, contact Angie.
“Knowledgeable and professional beyond compare.
Great personality conducive to allow gradual progress in the overall understanding of photography composition.”
“Great class! Angie has a wealth of knowledge and is willing to help! I highly recommend her classes!”
I enjoyed attending a photography workshop led by Angie. She is a practical, supportive instructor who is approachable and eager to help you master your camera for the strongest images. Her lessons cover everything from basic settings and composition to editing. It was a great experience! I have included my first moon-landscape photo captured during her workshop. goes here
Angie is a wonderful teacher and leader. The workshop started with a meet-and-greet the evening before and took off early the following morning with a full 2 1/2 days of great photography opportunities—wildlife/birds and landscape/sunset on this tour. Very well planned and organized—great for both experienced and new photographers. Angie is quick to help out and teach what you need, from camera settings to composition to post-processing. Most of all she does it with remarkable patience and a fun attitude. Loved traveling with her.
Angie was wonderful. I met her on an African safari trip and I was brand new at photography. She was very friendly as a guest in that trip. So when I learned of her experience and how she and her husband Jeff does workshops back home I had to test it out. And not disappointed. Angie has gone above and beyond helping me with ANY questions I have and she gets back with you quickly. She is so helpful. More than I could expect. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Angie. You have opened my eyes to landscape and sunsets and moon rises. It’s been wonderful.
I’ve loved photography and dabbled here and there for over a decade. But this was the first workshop I’ve taken. Angie was just wonderful and answered all of my questions. Angie taught me some tips and tricks I would have seriously struggled to learn on my own. She checks in with you each day to make sure you’re comfortable with your aperture and shutter speeds, so you leave the workshop with great pictures. The location was awesome, and it’s clear she’s built good relationships with boat captains, etc., to help access the best areas for photos. Besides getting some fun pictures and learning some really cool tips and techniques, we also just generally had FUN! Highly highly recommended. Angie and I look forward to taking another one of her workshops in the future.
I got to spend the day with Jeff and Angie photographing whooping cranes. I highly recommend contacting Angie if you have any questions about photography, need pointers, or just want to get better at taking pictures. She and Jeff have taken some amazing pictures from all over the world.
