Did you get a camera for Christmas and want to learn how to use it?
Are you ready to improve your skills in bird photography, sunset landscapes, and golden hour shooting techniques?
Join me for a one-evening, in-person photography workshop designed for beginners through advanced photographers who want hands-on experience in the field—right when the light is at its best.
This evening photography class begins at 3:00 PM and continues through sunset and golden hour, giving you real-world practice photographing:
Birds in flight
Coastal wildlife
Sunset beach scenes
Glowing landscapes and dramatic skies
Unexpected nature moments and critters
What You’ll Learn
We’ll start with the fundamentals and quickly move into real shooting situations:
How to confidently use aperture, shutter speed, and ISO
Freezing motion for bird and wildlife photography
Creating beautiful background blur (bokeh)
Shooting in challenging light during the golden hour and sunset.
Camera setup tips for nature, bird, and landscape photography
Field techniques you can use immediately
Everything is explained in clear, practical language—no confusing jargon.
Hands-On, In-Field Instruction
This is not a classroom lecture. You’ll be:
Shooting alongside me in real time
Asking questions as situations happen
Getting immediate feedback and guidance
Learning how to adapt your settings on the fly
You’ll also go home with reference materials to help you remember what you learned and continue practicing after class.
Camera & Gear Options
Bring your own camera or borrow one of mine (just bring an SD card)
Canon EF shooters may borrow lenses from my collection
A limited number of tripods are available to use during class
