Yellowstone Photography Tour Terms & Conditions

By booking a Yellowstone Photography Tour with Jeff & Angie Photography, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Booking & Payment

All Yellowstone private photography tours require payment in full at the time of booking. Your selected date and time are not confirmed until payment has been successfully completed.

Tours are private and limited to one or two photographers per booking.

Tour Times

Half-Day Photography Tour
6:00 AM–12:00 PM or 2:00 PM–8:00 PM

Full-Day Photography Tour
6:00 AM–8:00 PM

Tour times may occasionally need to be adjusted because of weather, road conditions, wildlife activity, park closures, safety considerations, or other conditions beyond our control.

Yellowstone Is Wild

Yellowstone National Park is a natural environment, and wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. Locations and routes are selected based on current wildlife activity, light, weather, road conditions, seasonal access, and photography opportunities.

The itinerary may change throughout the day when doing so provides a better or safer photography experience.

Full-Day Lunch

Lunch is included with the full-day photography tour. Depending on our location and conditions within Yellowstone, lunch may be at a park restaurant or picnic area.

Guests should advise us at the time of booking of any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or special dietary needs. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee specific foods or dining locations.

Lodging & Meeting Information

Guests must provide the name of their West Yellowstone lodging location when booking. Final meeting or pickup information will be communicated before the tour.

Guests are responsible for arriving prepared and on time. Late arrival may reduce the amount of available photography time and does not extend the scheduled end of the tour.

Weather, Roads & Park Conditions

Yellowstone weather and road conditions can change quickly. Tours operate in a variety of conditions, but safety always comes first.

Jeff & Angie Photography reserves the right to alter routes, locations, start times, or other portions of the tour because of weather, road closures, wildlife management activity, emergency conditions, National Park Service restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Wildlife Safety & Park Rules

Guests agree to follow all National Park Service regulations and all safety instructions provided during the tour.

Wildlife must be photographed from safe and lawful distances. Guests may not approach, feed, harass, pursue, or interfere with wildlife for the purpose of obtaining a photograph.

Photography opportunities will never take priority over guests, wildlife, or public safety.

Photography Equipment

Guests are responsible for their cameras, lenses, memory cards, batteries, personal belongings, and other photography equipment unless specific loaner equipment has been arranged in advance.

Jeff & Angie Photography is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal photography equipment or other personal property except where required by applicable law.

Physical Conditions

Yellowstone photography may involve getting in and out of a vehicle, walking on uneven ground, standing for extended periods, changing weather, elevation, cold or heat, and other outdoor conditions.

Guests should notify Jeff & Angie Photography before the tour of any mobility limitations or accommodations that may affect participation so we can discuss reasonable arrangements.

Yellowstone National Park Authorization & Tour Access

Jeff & Angie Photography operates Yellowstone photography tours under the applicable National Park Service Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) for Guided Painting and Photography Workshops. We conduct our photography tours in accordance with Yellowstone National Park regulations, CUA requirements, wildlife safety rules, closures, and National Park Service guidance.

This Is a Road-Based Photography Tour — Not a Hiking Tour

These tours are designed specifically for photography and are not guided hiking or backcountry tours.

Under the terms of our Yellowstone photography authorization, our tours are primarily road-based. Photography stops may include roadside pullouts, visitor facilities and services, boardwalks and developed areas, and walks on trails within the limits authorized by the National Park Service.

Our photography CUA currently authorizes walks on trails less than one-half mile from trailheads or roadways. We cannot guide clients farther into the backcountry under this photography tour authorization.

Guests should expect most photography opportunities to involve traveling Yellowstone’s road system, stopping at appropriate pullouts and developed areas, and making relatively short walks when appropriate.

Current wildlife activity, light, weather, road conditions, closures, safety considerations, and National Park Service regulations determine routes and photography locations.

National Park Service Rules

All guests must follow National Park Service regulations and the instructions of their guide while participating in the tour. Park closures, wildlife-management activities, temporary restrictions, road conditions, and other National Park Service directives may require changes to planned locations or routes.

Jeff & Angie Photography will never enter a restricted area, violate wildlife-distance requirements, or exceed the activities authorized under our Commercial Use Authorization for the purpose of obtaining a photograph.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Because Yellowstone photography tours are private and offered on a limited number of dates, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • 30 or more days before the scheduled tour: Refund of 90% of the amount paid. A 10% cancellation fee will be retained.
  • 14–29 days before the scheduled tour: Refund of 50% of the amount paid. The remaining 50% will be retained as a cancellation fee.
  • Less than 14 days before the scheduled tour: No refund.
  • No-shows: No refund.

Refund eligibility is based on the date Jeff & Angie Photography receives the cancellation request.

I would also add this sentence immediately after it:

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, weather disruptions, illness, transportation delays, and other unforeseen circumstances.

And I’d keep your separate section stating that if Jeff & Angie Photography cancels the tour, the guest receives a full refund if another date cannot be arranged.

This type of policy should be displayed clearly before the customer pays and accepted through your required Terms & Conditions checkbox. Because cancellation terms are contractual and consumer-protection rules can vary by jurisdiction, it’s worth having the final Terms page reviewed by an attorney once you have the whole document assembled. Texas and Montana both maintain consumer-protection enforcement frameworks, so clear disclosure is important.

For your prices, that means a customer canceling 30+ days out would receive $985.50 back on a $1,095 half-day or $1,521 back on a $1,690 full-day. A 14–29 day cancellation would refund $547.50 or $845, respectively.
